The President of the ECOWAS Commission, Mr. Marcel de Souza received, 15 June 2016, in Abuja the credentials of four new ambassadors accredited to ECOWAS.
These include His Excellency Stephane De Loecker the Kingdom of Belgium, His Excellency Dr. Gabor Ternak of the Republic of Hungary, His Excellency Paul Lehmann of Australia and His Excellency Haja Afsatu Olayinka Kabba Ebishola of the Republic of Sierra Leone.
During a ceremony held on this occasion, the President of ECOWAS Commission, Mr. Marcel de Souza promised greater cooperation with diplomatic missions accredited to the Commission with a view to achieve the integration objectives of Community.
After having indicated to the diplomats the need to pull up the integration projects and programs especially in the areas of energy, transport and agriculture, he expressed the gratitude of the Commission for their support.
The ambassadors in their various responses expressed their sincere thanks to President de Souza for the public, the privilege of having participated in the symbolic ceremony and reaffirmed the willingness of their countries to continue to work in partnership in particular ECOWAS, as well as general areas where intervention is necessary.
The céreémonie dérouleée was attended by the Vice-President of the Commission, Mr Edward Singhatey and several Technical Directors.
